solid kettle
This kettle is a solid and practical appliance. It has large pouring spout so filling up the cups with hot water is not a problem. Like in other models you can fill it up by lifting up a lid. The lid itself looks a bit weak but so far everything works fine. What I particularly like about this model is the speed. It boils water really fast and doesn’t make much noise while doing it. I find kettle noise a bit annoying some mornings so bless Russell Hobbs for whatever solution to the problem they found. Blue light looks great on the beginning- after you get use to it becomes rather boring. It’ a good kettle, you may buy it without risking anything.

my review of this kettle
There was some strangle ‘plastic taste’ on the beginning. It lasted for about a week – much longer than with my previous kettle. Once it disappeared kettle works well. It boils water very fast. Water gouge could have better visibility but once you get use to it it’s not a problem. I didn’t notice problems described by other users. Maybe I’m just a bit luckier?

It looks very attractive. Water level is clearly visible, however it doesn't appear till there's more than one cup in there. Boiling doesn't take long and it keeps water at boiling point for a few seconds. It seemed weird but I think it tries to eliminate as many germs as possible. The kettle pours water nicely, no major spills.

Dos what I expect it to do. Nothing more nothing less. Boils quickly, pours nicely. It used to give a kind of plastic taste, but that was gone after a while. It happens with all them kettles. Good kettle.

lid problem
I’ve read some reviews (on Amazon) which suggest there is something wrong with the lid. As lid in my kettle fall off I believe it is a series fault and Russell Hobbs should do something about it. You don’t expect this to be a problem as this is very important part of the kettle. Unfortunately there is something wrong with this model.
