useful kettle
Quite an useful kettle, although it leaks from the base. It’s been a year and I notice some water on the bottom. Kettle still works but I’m not sure if it’s safe to use. I gave to my brother so he can use it at work (building site). It performed quite well, nothing to complain really. It boils water fast and is easy to fill with water. Water gouge could be bigger and more visible. For this money it is not a bad kettle.

small leak after 9 months
I’ve had few electric kettles in my life and usually they don’t survive longer than 1 year of intensive use. Breville is not exception of this annoying rule. After about 9 months I‘ve noticed first small leak around its base. It is 13 months now and the kettle stopped working for good. It doesn’t bother me too much as I didn’t pay some mind boggling sum for it but it just continue tradition of one-year kettles. I’m switching brand now, probably will get something from Panasonic and... come here to complain about it in one year time.
